Cable TV? Or Satellite TV?

By Buzz | April 14, 2009

Movies at the theater are getting more expensive. Home technology is getting better and many movie-goers are opting to stay home to enjoy their favorite shows. Langston Wertz in the Feb. 1 issue of The Charlotte Observer did a great job highlighting the Pros and Cons of Cable vs/ Satellite TV. The advantages of Cable – No contracts, no equipment purchases, bundled packages.  The advantages of satellite - The picture is better, high def content is currently much wider! DirecTV offers more than 100 HD channels. “Over-all picture quality, especially on non HD channels, is better locally off the dish.” For sports fans – DirecTV is the way to go!  Knock-out Blow! When comparing the two technlogies Mr. Wertz says “…DirecTV equipment tends to run better and be more reliable..” For the complete article click here.  We asked Wayne Sherman, a SCCL resident and also a representative of SOUND FX, one of the largest DirecTV dealers in the Carolinas for his opinion. Mr. Sherman stated, “DirecTV offers more movies on demand, foreign language programming, reduced dish size, and so much more.” If you are interested in learning more about installing Direct TV in SCCL, and the custom packages available, contact Wayne Sherman directly to get the facts. He says that several residents have already made the switch.
